Boy Shiva (2:13)

Here is your Boy Shiva:
Loosening the lugnuts on the wheels of fortune
Here is your Boy Shiva:
Writing his apologies with bloody knuckles

And in all our lives
What's the most that we can hope for?
Or so his motion implies
He just wants to hold you in all of his arms
And rushes in, soot-caked, in tears again:
"Mother, look at what I've done to everyone I love"

Here is your Boy Shiva:
Blowing up your mailbox to express affection
Here is your Boy Shiva:
Spraying his regrets to all on the bridge trestle

And in all our little lives
What's the most that we can hope for?
Or so his motion implies
He just wants to hold you in all of his arms
And rushes in, blue-faced, in tears again:
"Mother, look at what I've done to everyone I've ever loved"
